Experience:
The J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University is seeking applications for a faculty position (continuing faculty status professorial track) to begin Fall Semester 2026. The faculty member will serve as Director of the BYU Law School Religious Liberty Clinic which will offer experiential learning through filing amicus briefs in religious freedom cases in federal and state courts. The position may be filled with a visiting faculty.
A successful applicant must have a JD degree an outstanding academic background a record that indicates a strong likelihood of becoming a well-published and nationally recognized scholar a focus on teaching research and writing that will leave no time for significant law practice or consulting and a commitment to the unique mission of BYU Law to develop people of integrity who combine faith and intellect in lifelong service to God and neighbor. Duties/Expectations: In addition to the scholarship and citizenship responsibilities typical of professorial faculty the faculty member will teach a Religious Liberty Clinic that will file amicus briefs in religious freedom cases in federal and state courts.
Must reside in the State of Utah to be eligible for employment consideration.

Employment Requirements
All new employees who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be required to hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend.
