Title: Student Support Specialist III (Recruitment)

Salary Range: $41880 annually or $3490 monthly

Contract Term Length:12 Months

Standard Hours:37.5

Job Summary

The Community College Recruiter plays a vital role in promoting the institutions educational programs and services to prospective students including both traditional (recent high school graduates) and non-traditional (adult learners career changers returning students) populations. This position requires strong communication organizational and interpersonal skills to effectively engage diverse audiences and achieve enrollment goals.

Job Duties:

Student Recruitment:
Implement recruitment strategies tailored to attract both traditional and non-traditional students.
Represent the college at high school visits career fairs community events and industry-related gatherings.
Cultivate relationships with school counselors community organizations employers and other key stakeholders.

Outreach and Engagement:
Plan and host on-campus and virtual events such as open houses information sessions and campus tours.
Collaborate with faculty and staff to highlight academic programs support services and career pathways.
Build partnerships with community organizations in service area to increase awareness of programs designed for adult learners.
Work closely with team members to align recruitment strategies with the colleges institutional enrollment goals.

Admissions Support:
Guide prospective students through the admissions process including application financial aid and course registration.
Provide personalized support to address the unique needs of traditional and non-traditional students.
Track and follow up with prospective students to ensure completion of necessary enrollment steps.
Enroll high school students in GEN100 and dual credit classes as Dual Credit Facilitator.

Data Management and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of recruitment calendar to include events leads and student interactions in the colleges CRM system.
Analyze recruitment data and provide reports to leadership when needed identify trends in recruitment for traditional students and adult learners.

Collaboration:
Partner with academic departments to ensure alignment between recruitment efforts and program availability.
Support retention efforts by connecting enrolled students with academic and support resources.

Professional Development:
Stay informed about industry trends workforce needs and changes in higher education policy.
Attend professional development workshops and conferences related to student recruitment and higher education.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in education communications marketing or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proven experience in recruitment admissions marketing or student services (experience in higher education preferred).
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse audiences.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Proficiency in technology tools such as CRM systems social media and Microsoft Office Suite.
Willingness to travel locally and work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
