ECU Health Medical Center a 974-bed level 1 trauma center serves as the regional leader for neurosciences and is the only Comprehensive Stroke Center in eastern North Carolina. Highlights include:Employment by ECU Health Physicians Hospital privileges at ECU Health Medical Center100% inpatientDaytime shifts only 7 shifts every 14 daysStroke Consultative Service co-managing patients with the Hospitalist ServiceClinical responsibilities include working closely with vascular neurologists on new consults follow-up cases and participation in acute stroke managementEstablished clinical neuroscience program inclusive of 10 neurosurgeons including dual-trained cerebrovascular specialists and 20 neurologists including an interventional neurologist 4 vascular neurologists 4 neurointensivists and 13 subspecialty neurologists.
