Job Description
Elk Island Public Schools (EIPS) is one of the largest school divisions in Alberta serving the education needs of approximately 17950 students in 42 schools. EIPS is recruiting a full-time Senior High English and Social Studies Teacher at Salisbury Composite High. Teaching Assignment includes: English 10-1 English 30-1 (2) English 30-2 Social 10-1 Social 20-2 and Social 30-2 .
Salisbury Composite High serves approximately 1500 students in grades 10 to 12 with 67 teaching staff and 23 support staff. The school is located in Sherwood Park AB.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Education degree
- Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
- Effective organization and classroom management skills
- Ability to create a classroom environment where students feel safe supported and challenged
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Experience or familiarity with analyzing data and using data to inform decisions and/or instruction
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
- Growth mindset and ability to use feedback to improve practice
- Relentless drive to set and achieve personal and professional goals
