Job Description
- Manage and maintain Operational Technology (OT) network infrastructure (including SCADA AMI VHF).
- Design implement and support WAN/LAN architectures for critical systems.
- Install configure and maintain network devices (Cisco Palo Alto Ciena etc.).
- Administer firewalls switches routers and VPN tunnels.
- Support and troubleshoot communication technologies (fiber microwave satellite DSL VHF cellular).
- Collaborate with Engineering/Operations to deploy and validate field network equipment.
- Ensure network security monitor for cyber threats and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
- Use network analysis tools and scripting to assess and improve network performance.
- Maintain technical documentation and deliver user training when needed.
- Participate in on-call rotation and support emergency restoration/outage efforts.
- Regularly travel to field sites and perform work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Meet physical requirements (lifting climbing ladders working at heights and in high-voltage areas).
- Requires Bachelors degree (preferred) industry certifications (Cisco Ciena etc.) and 7 years of WAN administration experience.
- Utility/electrical industry and OT/ICS (Purdue Model) experience highly preferred.
- Must be a self-sufficient experienced professional ready to work independently with minimal onboarding.
