Job Description
The University of Tennessee Foundation Inc. (UTFI) invites applications and nominations to fill the position of Assistant Director of Annual Giving for the College of Communications and Information (CCI) on the University of Tennessee Knoxville campus. Reporting to the Director of Advancement the Assistant Director of Annual Giving is responsible for assisting with the Collegelevel implementation of universitywide annual giving programs and serving as the project manager for yearly solicitations managed by the central annual giving team for both CCI and CCI Radio.
Responsibilities
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Annual Giving Implementation: Manage all central annual giving solicitations (fall spring CYE FYE) for both the College and CCI Radio. Partner in the implementation of universitywide annual giving programs (Big Orange Give Family Campaign Senior Impact VolStarter). Execute WUOT membership drives throughout the year with the collaboration of the Director of Advancement.
Annual Giving Soliciation: Identify cultivate and solicit annual gifts for CCI Radio prospects (sustaining members).
Stewardship: Collaborate with the Assistant Director of Stewardship and Events to steward
current and future donors.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
The candidate who fills the Assistant Director of Annual Giving position is required to have:
- Bachelors degree
- 2 years of experience in a position related to or similar to higher education development fundraising alumni engagement and marketing
- Excellent written and verbal communication
A valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record is required due to travel responsibilities of the position. UTFI reserves the right to consider all appropriate circumstances. In general any significant driving offense less than 12 months old will eliminate the application from consideration for the position.
Note Candidates holding a graduate degree must have at least 1 year of experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
In addition to meeting the required qualifications the preferred candidate will have:
- Masters degree
- Higher education experience
