Job Description

Job Title: School Psychologist High SchoolLocation: Ipswich High SchoolReports To: Director of Student Services and High School PrincipalFTE: 1.0 FullTime School YearPosition Overview:Ipswich Public Schools seeks a dedicated and studentcentered School Psychologist to join our high school team. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative problemsolver who brings both clinical expertise and a deep commitment to inclusive strengthsbased practices that support all role includes conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations providing individual and group counseling consulting with educators and families and participating actively in MTSS and Special Education processes. The School Psychologist plays a key role in fostering equitable access to learning supporting students socialemotional development and promoting mental health within a caring school Responsibilities:Evaluation and AssessmentConduct psychological cognitive academic and socialemotional evaluations in accordance with Massachusetts DESE and IDEA administer and interpret standardized assessments rating scales and other tools as part of the special education eligibility timely comprehensive evaluation reports that include strengthsbased insights and actionable in Team meetings to review assessment data collaborate on eligibility decisions and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).Counseling and Direct Student SupportProvide individual and small group counseling to students with identified socialemotional behavioral or mental health crisis intervention risk assessments and the development of individualized safety or behavior support student selfadvocacy regulation and resilience through evidencebased counseling and SchoolBased ConsultationParticipate actively in the high schools MultiTiered System of Supports (MTSS) and Student Support Team (SST) with educators to design and monitor academic and behavioral interventions across Tier 1 Tier 2 and Tier 3 with teachers administrators and families to support students learning adjustment and mental health within the general education and DocumentationEnsure all evaluations reports IEP documentation and service delivery logs are completed in alignment with state and federal timelines and strict confidentiality of all student records in accordance with FERPA and professional in progress monitoring and data collection for both IEP goals and broader MTSS Work and Professional DevelopmentContribute to schoolwide efforts to promote a safe inclusive and traumainformed learning professional development and consultation to staff on topics such as executive functioning anxiety behavioral supports and culturally responsive current with best practices in school psychology through ongoing professional :Required:Masters CAGS or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related Massachusetts DESE license as a School knowledge of special education law evaluation practices and IEP with socialemotional learning crisis intervention and counseling to work effectively within interdisciplinary teams and diverse school :Experience supporting students at the high school with MTSS frameworks traumainformed practices and datadriven using digital platforms for evaluations IEP writing and service documentation (eSped and Aspen).
