We proudly participate in students educational and professional development. We give interns a glimpse into the civil and structural engineering profession and mentor them to develop transferable skillsets. At KPFF interns can find themselves collaborating with other engineers who are excited to share their professional experience. Each intern will walk away with a unique story to tell.
The High School Internship program will begin the week of July 14 2025. Students will work half a day in the office three days a week for four weeks. We are looking for curious individuals who are willing to learn about engineering consulting and the construction industry.
Our structural team consists of structural engineers and drafters working in a vast array of building design fields such as highrise towers office buildings hospitals and medical centers parking garages and higher education buildings using a variety of building materials including steel concrete and mass timber. Our civil team works on a variety of projects from site development to utility infrastructure to regional stormwater facilities in the Pacific Northwest and beyond. You will work within a fun dynamic and diverse team and will have the opportunity to engage on projects from the beginning planning stages through construction documents and during construction. Most of our work is performed in our office setting; however our interns will have the opportunity to visit a number of project locations at various stages of project design and construction.

Compensation:
The base salary for this role is competitive and will be determined based on the candidates experience education and skills. The expected pay for a qualified candidate is $20.76.
