Join Our Team as a Social Work Team Leader in beautiful Cornwall!

We are looking for social work managers or experienced social workers who are keen to take the next steps in their career to join the Independence and Wellbeing Service (IWS) in the East of Cornwall as a Team Leader a role in which you will be expected to guide and support the team to utilise evidencebased practice to deliver strengths based and holistic outcomes for residents.
There are two positions available Team Leader (Front Door/Community) and Team Leader (Hospital Facing).
The Service & Team:
Our Service provides comprehensive support from the initial contact and assessment phase gathering essential information to determine the most appropriate next steps using a solutionfocused approach. This includes offering information and advice signpostingindividuals to other agencies and progressing to our reablement services to maximise the persons ability to remain as independent as possible.
By working within and across our primary care networks we are identifying the best solutions to ensure individuals remain safe and supported at home. Sharing your knowledge and expertise will help your team members grow achieve their goals and collectively deliver better outcomes.
The Role:
You will manage a team of assessing staff including social workers and social care practitioners supporting casework decisions that effectively safeguard adults promote their wellbeing and improve the quality of their lives with focused energy and commitment to developing positive relationships with our health colleagues.
The work environment is positive busy and one where you will be required to provide staff with regular support reflective supervision and casework monitoring as well as having active involvement in the development of the team and wider service. You will support all members of the team to promote selflearning and keep knowledge and skills up to date while working to Adult Social Care practice standards in line with the national Professional Capability Framework.
You must be in a reasonable commutable distance of Cornwall. This is to enable face to face working on a regular basis in order to be responsive to the needs of the Independence and Wellbeing Service.
This is a public/customerfacing role where the statutory English language requirement for public sector workers applies.
This position will be subject to an enhanced criminal record disclosure check.
What Youll Need to Succeed:
Social Work Degree and relevant qualification with current registration with Social Work England.
Proven track record as a social work manager or social worker in Adult Social Care with substantial experience.
Strong understanding of issues related to vulnerable adults hospital discharge and local authority duties as defined in the Care Act.
Expertise of policies and legislation governing adult social care including mental capacity assessments and deprivation of liberty decisions.
Experience working in a multiagency environment to provide Adults Services.
Understanding of quality assurance and performance management mechanisms with the ability to enhance practice quality and consistency.
