The Role
The ABCs nightly current affairs flagship program 7.30 is looking for an experienced reporter to guide stories from initial stages to delivery.
The Job
Reporting to the Executive Producer this role will see responsible for;
- Generating high quality news stories in innovative and visually striking ways as well as contributing to strong 7.30 journalism on digital platforms
- Creating excellent long form current affairs stories that reflect the diverse communities of Australia
- Producing top of the rundown important agenda setting stories and high quality content for the digital platforms.

About You
You are an energetic selfstarter with a track record for breaking stories that have an impact on the national agenda and a proven ability to tell those stories that hold the powerful to account.

- Solid writing investigative and storytelling skills that are relevant to Australias diverse communities
- A strong grasp of political social and economic issues
- Aptitude for producing sophisticated current affairs televisionmaking
- Resourcefulness and ability to work independently
- Understanding of the back end of longer form current affairs for example experience in field producing video journalism etc.
- Extensive experience in a digital news environment
