Role overview & responsibilities
Reporting to the Logistics AccountManager the Logistics Account Representativeis responsible for executing freight and delivering a bestinclass customer experience for key accounts. They develop deep customer relationships and actively advise clients on strategies or new offerings to generate profitable growth. As a subjectmatter expert on the daily operations and needs of assigned accounts they source price and execute all freight opportunities for those accounts.
- Develop and maintain strong customer and carrier relationships.
- Be knowledgeable of all current service offerings and be able to communicate them to existing customers.
- Participate in bid opportunities both tactical and strategic (RFP process).
- Negotiate pricing with both customers and carriers to generate profitable business opportunities.
- Execute all daily freight opportunities for assigned accounts or territories.
- Utilize market intelligence tools to advise clients and meet their daily transportation needs.
- Coordinate schedule and execute shipments in Transportation Management System.
- Track and trace shipments to ensure ontime pickup and delivery.
- Proactively communicate and solve service issues to internal and external stakeholders.
What youll need
- 1 years of experience in logistics transportation 3PL sales account management or customer service.
- Bachelors degree (4year college or technical school) preferred.
