Role overview & responsibilities


Reporting to the Logistics AccountManager the Logistics Account Representativeis responsible for executing freight and delivering a bestinclass customer experience for key accounts. They develop deep customer relationships and actively advise clients on strategies or new offerings to generate profitable growth. As a subjectmatter expert on the daily operations and needs of assigned accounts they source price and execute all freight opportunities for those accounts.

  • Develop and maintain strong customer and carrier relationships.
  • Be knowledgeable of all current service offerings and be able to communicate them to existing customers.
  • Participate in bid opportunities both tactical and strategic (RFP process).
  • Negotiate pricing with both customers and carriers to generate profitable business opportunities.
  • Execute all daily freight opportunities for assigned accounts or territories.
  • Utilize market intelligence tools to advise clients and meet their daily transportation needs.
  • Coordinate schedule and execute shipments in Transportation Management System.
  • Track and trace shipments to ensure ontime pickup and delivery.
  • Proactively communicate and solve service issues to internal and external stakeholders.

What youll need

  • 1 years of experience in logistics transportation 3PL sales account management or customer service.
  • Bachelors degree (4year college or technical school) preferred.
