Job Description
Become a vital part of our Science departments excellence in Barking! Primarily teaching ALevel Physics.
Our outstanding school in Barking is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Physics Teacher with a strong interest and expertise in teaching at the ALevel. You will contribute significantly to the academic success of our students pursuing Physics at the highest level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver inspiring and comprehensive Physics lessons primarily to ALevel students.
- Develop and share highquality teaching resources for the KS5 Physics curriculum.
- Provide effective mentoring and support for ALevel Physics students.
- Contribute to the assessment and examination preparation for ALevel Physics.
- Collaborate with colleagues on crosscurricular projects within Science.
- Engage in professional development to enhance your teaching of advanced Physics.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Degree in Physics or a closely related field.
- Proven experience teaching Physics at ALevel (or strong potential as an ECT with a strong Physics background and a passion for advanced topics).
- A thorough understanding of the ALevel Physics syllabus and assessment methodologies.
- Excellent teaching and communication skills particularly with advanced learners.
- A commitment to fostering a deep understanding and enjoyment of Physics.
