At Palo Alto Networks cloud infrastructure is essential to powering our industryleading clouddelivered security solutionscritical not only to product performance but also to driving margin efficiency. Our Cloud Finance team plays a missioncritical role in managing and optimizing cloud spend across the entire PANW portfolio spanning all the major Cloud Service Providers (CSPs).
We are seeking a highimpact to help elevate our cloud financial management and drive greater efficiency at scale. In this role you will own and lead the monthly cloud financial close build and maintain longterm cloud spend forecasts and serve as a strategic finance partner to senior product and finance leaders. Youll be at the forefront of negotiating multimilliondollar cloud commitments guiding key cloud hosting decisions and shaping our financial strategy at scale.

Your Impact
Lead the EndtoEnd Cloud Finance Monthly Close and Annual Planning Process: Own the process for cloud infrastructure spend ensuring timely accurate financial reporting and delivering actionable insights to senior leadershipincluding the CFO and Chief Product Officer. This includes preparing and consolidating cloud spend forecasts across teams conducting budget vs. actual variance analysis overseeing compliance reporting and managing purchase order workflows.
Be the Strategic Cloud Finance Business Partner to Product Teams: Partner closely with product and engineering leadershipincluding the SVP of Engineeringto provide financial guidance on cloud forecasting and planning and help inform product decisions and drive accountability.
Own the LongTerm Cloud Spend Forecasting Models: Maintain and enhance the forecasting models that track cloud spend against multiyear hosting commitments. These models are critical for informing both strategic and daytoday decisions around our cloud hosting strategy and financial risk management.
Drive Cloud Hosting Commercial Negotiations with CSPs: Lead financial modeling for cloud provider negotiations owning the deal economics and presenting datadriven recommendations to executive leadership. Your analysis will directly influence our ability to optimize commercial terms and align cloud commitments with longterm business goals.

Qualifications :
Your Experience
8 years of overall Finance experience ideally in SaaS industry and in Corporate Finance FP&A Strategic Finance or Business Partnership
Bachelors or Masters in Finance Accounting Economics or equivalent (e.g. CFA MBA)
Strong proficiency in Excel for financial modeling variance analysis and datadriven decisionmaking.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to ensure accuracy and thoroughness in financial analysis and reporting. Ability to generate meaningful financial insights from large datasets and present findings to senior leadership.
Experience with finance business partnering. Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work crossfunctionally in a matrixed organization.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage and influence senior leadership and crossfunctional teams.
Preferred but not required experience: Cloud Finance Tableau SAC SQL

Cloud infrastructure is a critical strategic component to our cloud delivered security offerings. The Cloud Finance team manages cloud spend across the whole PANW portfolio and across Cloud Service Providers (CSPs). We directly manage relationships with our CSPs and drive procurement optimizations via rate negotiations and committed/reserved usage discounts. Working alongside a tightknit crossfunctional group with Cloud Center of Excellence and Data teams we build tooling and dashboards to provide teams with visibility into usage optimization opportunities and cloud unit economics enabling teams to make the best strategic business decisions and providing Executive Staff with insightful proactive recommendations to drive both topline growth and bottomline efficiency across all Cloud hosted products within the Company.

Compensation Disclosure
The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications experience and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level the starting base salary (for nonsales roles) or base salary commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $140000 $226500/YR. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.
