Are you a student or recent graduate interested in a handson career in the skilled trades The General Services Department is offering a dynamic Trades Internship Program designed to provide realworld experience in various governmentrun trade operations.
Interns will work alongside seasoned professionals in areas such as:
Electrical
Plumbing
HVAC
Building
Automotive
This is your chance to gain valuable experience develop technical skills and explore public service as a career pathwayall while contributing to projects that serve your community.
Responsibilities
Assist tradespeople with routine maintenance repair and installation work.
Learn to use tools equipment and safety procedures specific to each trade.
Participate in safety briefings and job site meetings.
Shadow professionals and gain insights into trade career opportunities within the government.
Qualifications:
Must be a rising or current high school senior or any combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma
