Job Description

TITLE: Marketing & Design Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Director of Marketing & Communications
CLASSIFIED: FullTime NonExempt
MISSION:To inspire and enable all young people especially those who need us most to realize their full potential as productive responsible and caring citizens.
JOB SUMMARY:Were looking for a creative organized and missiondriven Marketing & Design Coordinator to help bring the Boys & Girls Club brand to life across digital and print platforms. In this fulltime role youll support
the Director of Marketing & Communications by designing compelling visuals creating engaging social media content and maintaining an organized archive of marketing assets.
The ideal candidate combines a strong eye for design with solid time management and a passion for visual storytelling. From daily posts to event promotions youll help ensure that every piece of content reflects the spirit of the Boys & Girls Club and connects meaningfully with all BGCNP communities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Graphic Design & Brand Development
  • Create visually engaging marketing materials including flyers posters social media graphics program guides event signage and select branded merchandise (e.g. stickers tshirts thankyou cards) using established brand guidelines and templates.
  • Support the layout and design of key publications such as newsletters annual reports and campaign collateral.
  • Maintain and refine branded templates in Canva and Adobe to ensure consistency and usability across Club locations.
  • Organize and manage the Clubs digital asset archive (photos logos videos campaign files) with clear naming conventions and folder systems to ensure assets are easy to locate and use.
  • Ensure brand standards and visual consistency are upheld across all communication channels (including the Website).
Social Media & Digital Content
  • Create and schedule engaging missionaligned content across platforms (Facebook Instagram LinkedIn YouTube etc.) using a shared content calendar in collaboration with the Director of Marketing & Communications.
  • Partner with Club staff to gather stories photos and program highlights that reflect youth impact and bring visibility to Club activities.
  • Write brandconsistent captions and post content in a timely coordinated manner to maintain a strong and positive online presence.
  • Assist with capturing and editing shortform video content (e.g. Reels Shorts highlight videos) to support social storytelling.
  • Monitor social media engagement and respond to comments/messages in a professional welcoming tone.
  • Track and report basic analytics (reach engagement growth) to help inform content improvements with strategic guidance from the Director.
Photo/Video Production Support
  • Support the capture of photos and short video clips at Club events and programs occasionally assisting with onsite documentation needs.
  • Edit and format basic photo and video content for use in social media storytelling and donor engagement using accessible tools and established brand styles.
  • Maintain a wellorganized archive of visual assets using consistent naming and folder structures to ensure easy longterm access.
  • Collaborate with staff to ensure youth and family permissions are secured before publishing any visual content following Club privacy protocols.
Marketing Operations & Collaboration
  • Support internal marketing needs such as recognition boards signage or program visuals.
  • Participate in team meetings brainstorming sessions and crossdepartmental projects.
  • Assist in planning and execution of marketing support for fundraising events Club celebrations and public relations efforts.
  • Help ensure print and digital materials are updated stocked and distributed on time.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelors degree in Graphic Design Visual Communications Marketing or a related field; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating design skills across both print and digital formats.
  • Proficiency in Canva is required; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop InDesign Illustrator Premiere) is a strong plus.
  • Experience managing organizational or brandaligned social media accounts using a content calendar.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills including the ability to maintain clean wellstructured digital files and meet overlapping deadlines.
  • Basic skills in photo and video capture/editing (smartphone) with an eye for creating socialfriendly shortform content (e.g. Reels YouTube Shorts).
  • Strong visual design sense with attention to layout consistency and branding.
  • Clear concise written communication skills for captions posts and designrelated messaging.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative missiondriven team.
  • Willingness to learn new tools and adapt to evolving Club needs.
  • Familiarity with nonprofit or youthserving organizations is helpful but not required.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • Genuine commitment to the mission vision and values of the Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Plains.
  • Flexibility to occasionally attend evening or weekend events and travel between Club sites to support marketing or content needs.
  • Ability to lift and carry lightweight equipment such as cameras signage or printed materials when necessary.
  • Valid drivers license and access to reliable transportation preferred.
  • This position is considered to be safetysensitive.
