in our Financial & Management Services Department!

The Senior Management Analyst position is approved to start after July 1 2025.

A 2% base salary increase is scheduled to become effective with the first full pay period that begins after July 1 2025.

THE POSITION

The Senior Management Analyst for the Purchasing & Sustainability Division plays a pivotal role in advancing the Citys sustainability efforts within the Financial & Management Services Department. This position is responsible for conducting indepth analyses managing complex contracts and overseeing financial reporting related to sustainability initiatives. The analyst will contribute to policy development procurement processes and grant management to enhance the Citys environmental and operational efficiencies. With a focus on strategic planning and budget forecasting this role ensures that sustainability programs align with the Citys longterm goals and regulatory requirements.

IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate is a strategic and detailoriented professional with expertise in municipal procurement sustainability programs and financial management. They thrive in a collaborative environment demonstrating strong multitasking abilities and problemsolving skills while managing complex contracts grants and budget forecasting. With excellent communication and analytical capabilities they can effectively present reports and policy recommendations to diverse stakeholders. Adaptable and proactive they drive environmentally responsible initiatives that align with the Citys longterm sustainability goals while ensuring operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

A bachelors degree in finance or a closely related field; OR equivalent related work experience;AND
A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible professional experience performing administrative operations budgetary and similar analyses.

ABOUT THE PURCHASING & SUSTAINABILITY DIVISION
The Citys Purchasing & Sustainability division operates under the Financial & Management Services department. The Divisions responsibilities include centralized purchasing services through requisitions requests for proposals and invitations to bid for all City operations while ensuring fair competition and conforming to the Purchasing Ordinance and accepted purchasing practices. This division is also responsible for trash collection recycling and special collection programs in the City.
