Job Description
A private label retailer specializing in commercial appliances is seeking a detailoriented and proactive Product Development Specialist to manage and support the development and sourcing of new products. This role plays a critical part in bringing products from concept to production by working closely with suppliers manufacturers and internal teams to ensure quality efficiency and alignment with brand standards.
Responsibilities Include:
Manage the full product development lifecycle from concept through final production.
Source components and materials from domestic and international suppliers ensuring quality price competitiveness and timely delivery.
Coordinate with manufacturers to oversee prototyping testing and production timelines.
Monitor and track project progress identifying risks and implementing solutions to avoid delays.
Collaborate with internal teams including design marketing and operations to ensure alignment throughout the development process.
Maintain uptodate documentation including technical specs cost breakdowns and vendor communications.
Ensure all products meet brand standards and compliance requirements.
Support product improvement initiatives based on market feedback and performance data.
Ideal Qualifications:
Proven experience in product development sourcing or supply chain coordination.
Strong communication and negotiation skills for working with manufacturers and vendors.
Highly organized and detailoriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Familiarity with commercial appliances or manufacturing environments is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and product tracking tools.
Selfstarter with strong problemsolving skills and a collaborative mindset.
