We are seeking a Business Development Representative to join our inclusive team with an interest in making a significant impact at BlackBerry through our solution based software spearheading enterprise intermodal transportation and logistics challenges in North America. BlackBerryRadar for asset tracking intermodal containers & chassis trailers railcars and more! As a Business Development Representative you will act as an extension of our best in class sales and marketing organizations generating qualified sales opportunities by cold calling responding to inbound interest via events web inquiry trade shows digital social and direct marketing initiatives.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Cold call targeted prospects and get them excited to book a meeting to learn more about the ground breaking technology that BlackBerry Radar offers.
  • Nurture and send marketing and sales literature to prospective clients utilizing tools such as OutReach Connect & Sell and Highspot
  • Be fiercely curious to learn about the domestic and marine intermodal industries across North America. We dominate the chassis market we go beyond trailers there is lots to learn about supply chain and connected transportation.
  • Generate and manage opportunities through highvolume reactive outbound calling and conducting precall preparation
  • Provide Marketing support and promote BlackBerry Radar sales events associated with but not limited to conferences tradeshows and webinars
  • Demonstrates success through sales lead acceptance and contribution to pipeline and revenue
  • Meet monthly quarterly and annual business objectives and metricbased target(s)
  • Stay uptodate on the latest BlackBerry products and services industry best practices and customer needs; attends applicable training conferences and learns new tools as needed Some administrative work may be required.

You will often be the first person that a prospect speaks to at BlackBerry Radar. You are enthusiastic love to make the most of first impressions are tenacious and want to learn from the best. You are motivated to see our business grow to reward your efforts our BDRs earn commission on new business! You have skin in the game. Lastly we are a collaborative team you are comfortable sharing ideas to help us get better but are also willing to listen and learn from others why Because a rising tide will lift all boats!

  • Bachelors or high level degree preferred; relevant experience can be substituted for educational degree
  • Two years minimum of related experience in business to business (B2B) telesales business development and/or other related experience
  • Transportation industry related experience preferred
  • Intermediate ability to generate leads over the phone
  • Intermediate ability to provide customerservice and build/maintain relationships
  • Advance ability to use business tools and software such as Microsoft 365 office programs and CRM (i.e. (SFDC))
  • Effectively manages a large territory and multiple concurrent business processes
  • Effectively communicates in verbal and written form to various stakeholders who have differing levels of technical knowledge.
