This position is located in Raleigh North Carolina in the Private Protective Services Section and provides administrative office support to this section which is responsible for administering the licensing education and training requirements for persons firms associations and corporations engaged in private protective services (security guards alarm system technicians private investigators armored car operators etc.) in North Carolina. PPS conducts background investigations for the licensing of private protective services occupations registers employees of licensed companies and enforces laws and rules through administrative disciplinary processes and the courts.

To qualify for this position applicants mustdemonstrateALL ofthe followingKSAs:
Experience processing a highvolume of applications and/or data entry.
Experience accurately interpreting or explaining information to clients/customers orally and/or in writing.
Experience collecting entering organizing and/or analyzing data/information.
Experience answering a highvolume of customer or client inquiries by phone or email.
Management Preferences(Theseskillsare notbut managers may choose to interview/select applicants whodemonstrateManagement Preferences.)
Experience using Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook
Experience determining an applicants eligibility based on established qualifying criteria.
Experience reviewing and evaluating criminal history information.

Experience analyzing or interpreting statutes administrative rules regulations policies procedures and/or training records.
