Job Description

Ensure sex offenders are registered in accordance with CTWS Sex Offender Registration code or the Federal Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act. Maintain a database of sex offenders living working or going to school on the reservation. Ensure sex offender compliance by conducting home & employment visits and other collateral contacts. Notify other jurisdictions of sex offender whereabouts in compliance with Tribal law and Federal standards in the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act/Adam Walsh Act.

Requirements

Associates Degree in Criminal Justice. High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of two years of law enforcement experience can be substituted for the associates degree. Must have a valid drivers license and be insurable. No felonies on record and no misdemeanors within one year of application. Must adhere to Tribal and Department policies on use of alcohol and drugs. Will be subject to an in-depth criminal character and financial background inquiry/check. Will also be required to submit and pass a pre employment alcohol/drug screening. This position is non-commissioned.
