The Opportunity:
Plan manage and administrate payroll andHCM(Human Capital Management) support activities for Housing and Residence Life. Manage a range of diverse administrative activities daily and project central to the operations of Housing and Residence Life. Manage facilitate and supervise support staff involved in daytoday activities of the central administration for Housing and Residence Life.
Establish work priorities ensure deadlines are met and coordinate program functions including recruitment and appointments onboarding position control payroll management time and leave reporting performance reviews and evaluations and oversight of training and certification completion.
Duties also include independently providing informed advice and problem solving; establishing work priorities to ensure deadlines are met performing complex research and preparing reports for Housing and Residence Life Director Team on confidential issues and payroll reporting.
This position maintains critical departmental information some of which is confidential and sometimes sensitive including: personnel and payroll records timecards historical files policy and procedure manuals appeal documents hiring paperwork and safety orientation checklists.
This position is the Workday Subject Matter Expert forHCMand payroll functions in Housing and Residence Life representing the department and leading when needed policy changes for system and regulatory compliance. Act as a liaison to the various offices and staff critical to these business operations: Student Affairs Finance and Administrative Services Human Resource Services Modernization and Payroll Services Student Affairs. Coordinate and cooperate with these groups and individuals interpreting and discussing actions policies and procedures.
This position must have a thorough knowledge of all application processes and contracts for Housing and Residence Life.
Additional Information:
This is a full time (100% FTE) permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.
Monthly Salary:
$5000 $5500 Commensurate with experience and qualifications
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110 the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidates current experience education skills and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:
A Bachelors degree in a field relevant to area of specialization and three (3) years of experience directly related to the specialty area. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a yearforyear basis.
The required bachelors degree must be within a discipline relevant to business administration.
Two years of the required experience must have included progressively increasingly responsibility in an office support or customer service position.
Must have or be able to obtain by time of hire a valid drivers license and meet requirements in accordance with SPPM 7.10 and departmental driving standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
Five years of experience in increasingly responsible office positions.
Demonstrated experience in positive customer service.
Experience leading and training employees. Experience with Workday employment and purchases processes.
