TITLE: Human Resources Generalist JOB GOAL:The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the benefits administration process retiree services substitute support and various HR functions. The role involves coordinating benefit enrollments managing retiree databases handling substitute onboarding responding to inquiries from employees and retirees and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The position also plays a key role in payroll processing and collaborates in implementing new HR technology RESPONSIBILITIES:Benefits Administration:
Facilitate the initiation modifications and termination of health dental AFLAC and 403b benefit enrollments for both employees and retirees through the respective websites. Regularly review and validate benefits and payroll deductions in the Infinite Visions software on a monthly changes to Health Savings Account (HSA) deductions biweekly. Oversee and examine spreadsheets related to benefits HSA and copayments on a monthly basis. Monthly reconciliation of health dental and life insurance bills and rosters ensuring timely payment by Accounts Payables. Provide timely responses to benefit inquiries from both employees and retirees. Conduct a comprehensive review of the unemployment Services: Address GASB 45 OPEB Data Requests and applications for Retiree Drug Subsidy. Administer the retiree database and oversee the organization of retiree files. Generate Post Retirement Benefits Review forms for retirees approaching the age of 65. Compile annual and semiannual invoices for retirees pertaining to postretirement benefits. Submit monthly postretirement employment information to the retirement board through the Employees Retirement System of RIs (ERSRI) online portal. Provide prompt and comprehensive responses to all inquiries from Support: Distribute annual Reasonable Assurance Memorandums to all currently active substitutes. Handle the paperwork for newly hired substitutes ensuring their enrollment in essential programs such as Infinite Visions and Frontline. Address and respond to inquiries from substitutes in a timely Services: Administer the maintenance of all employee personnel files. Submit Workers Compensation claims with Workers Compensation insurance carriers. Gather disability notes and handle the processing of FMLA paperwork. Oversee the onboarding paperwork for new hires. Supervise ACA information in the payroll software program and annually complete 1095C forms. Create Continuation of Benefits forms for retiring employees. Paperwork processing for resigning employees. Address and respond to inquiries from all employees. Provide annual seniority reports for union employees. Handle requests for employee Tuition Responsibilities: Manage payment cycles and pay periods. Examine positions and undertake position cleanup as needed. Facilitate the rollover of leave plans. Adjust benefit deductions to align with new annual : Revise and maintain content on the Human Resources page of the District website. Generate reports on Seniority and Certification. Assist and supervise the Payroll Clerk in the processing of payroll. Process and file Employee Status Report Forms. Collaborate in introducing and setting up new Human Resource technology programs. Validate details for updating the RIDE Personnel Assignment Submission portal. Administer and preserve records for employees substitutes volunteers and retirees across various databases including Frontline Professional Growth Infinite Visions and ACCESS. Undertake the responsibilities of the Wellness Coordinator for the Health Matters Program through The RI Interlocal Risk Management Trust.Attendance is an essential function of all BWRSD positions.
