Job Description
Role Summary
This role will report directly to the New Business Financial Analysis Director of the US Employer Precision Underwriting/Pricing Program a critical segment priority. The team will explore and advance the integration of new technologies including AI and machine learning through our pricing and underwriting quoting process. In this role youll help us quote and sell business more effectively using data and analytics to drive more realtime insights and strategic decisions. Youll work closely with matrix partners across data science pricing underwriting data/analytics sales etc. Were seeking a creative disruptive thinker who can challenge the status quo while bringing structure to an ambiguous problem set.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute fast paced and indepth analytics with a dream big fail fast mindset. Synthesize complex data into actionable insights. Iterate and support ongoing business needs with quality analytics.
Push new ideas and solutions that leverage data and insights to drive profitable growth with a particular emphasis on the U500 segment.
Develop advanced statistical and machine learning models to support underwriting and pricing initiatives.
Design experiments using innovative modeling techniques and data sources to assess effectiveness at predicting claims costs and other drivers.
Provide recommendations to leadership based on data analysis and business insights.
Build and maintain strong relationships with various stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Strong proficiency in ML statistics python or R and SQL.
Experience with large language models preferred.
Successfully completes technical project components with limited guidance.
Pricing/UW business background and actuarial experience preferred.
Ability to extract manage and analyze data in a scalable way and make use of this data to improve affordability and quality of healthcare solutions.
Proven track record of exceeding goals and a bottomline orientation; evidence of the ability to consistently make good decisions through a combination of analysis wisdom experience and judgment.
Strong interpersonal skills plus an outstanding ability to build relationships and navigate within a complex organization.
Collaborates to deliver clear and well developed presentations for both technical and business audiences.
Consistently communicates decisions considerations and needs for support.
Receives and responds to feedback in a professional and appropriate manner.
Present technical topics and results to nontechnical stakeholders.
