Job Summary
The Coordinator of Womens Basketball Operations at Drexel University a member of the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) plays a pivotal administrative and operational role within the womens basketball program. This position supports the Head Coach and staff by managing the daytoday logistics of a nationally competitive Division I program while ensuring full compliance with NCAA CAA and institutional regulations. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to academic and athletic excellence studentathlete development and team success.
Essential Functions
- Program Operations & Travel Management:
- Coordinate all aspects of team travel including transportation accommodations per diem and itineraries.
- Manage game day logistics for both home and away contests ensuring optimal team preparation and execution.
- Organize meals during holiday breaks summer access and other team activities while on campus.
- Serve as a liaison between the coaching staff and athletic departments (equipment sports medicine academic services compliance etc.).
- Budget Oversight & Procurement:
- Assist in managing the womens basketball operations budget in collaboration with the Athletics Business Office.
- Oversee equipment inventory and purchasing in compliance with university and NCAA guidelines.
- Team & StudentAthlete Support:
- Organize teambuilding initiatives community service and leadership programming in coordination with studentathlete development staff.
- Manage onboarding logistics for new studentathletes including housing orientation and team integration.
- Opportunity to provide on court coaching or practice/game assistance.
- Recruiting Support & Compliance:
- Coordinate oncampus recruiting visits including scheduling meals and logistics.
- Maintain and track recruiting records in compliance with NCAA and CAA rules using approved software (e.g. ARMS TeamWorks).
- Support documentation and monitoring for all NCAA and institutional compliance protocols.
- Communication & Event Coordination:
- Assist with planning team events such as banquets alumni functions donor receptions and youth clinics.
- Manage team calendars communications and special projects as assigned by the head coach.
- Serve as the primary administrator for approved team specific software (TeamWorks) and ensure that studentathletes coaches and support staff using the system efficiently.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of Bachelors Degree orthe equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years working in collegiate basketball program.
- Strong organization and attention to detail skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced teamoriented environment.
- Knowledge of NCAA Division I rules and CAA conference policies.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends.
- Ability to travel with the team domestically.
- Valid Drivers License
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as studentathlete or manager at collegiate level.
