Job Description

Audit Manager (Wealth Operations)

Opportunity in the insurance and investment industry for an experienced audit professional to support quality assurance initiatives across multiple business units. This hybrid role in Toronto focuses on reviewing audit files ensuring methodology compliance and collaborating with global audit teams in a dynamic financial environment.

Hourly salary of $45-48 based on experience.
6-month contract with the potential for permanent employment.
Full-time position: 37.50 hours per week.
7.5-hour workday starting at 8:00 AM.
Hybrid role based in Toronto (2 days per week in-office).

Responsibilities:

Conduct end-to-end Quality Assurance (QA) reviews of audit files to ensure compliance with internal audit methodology and standards.
Provide feedback guidance and clarification to audit teams across various lines of business (Canada U.S. Asia Investments IT).
Prepare internal and external audit reporting including KPIs open issues tracking audit plan progress and board-level quarterly updates.
Support targeted reviews and special QA initiatives with a goal of approximately 10 full QA file reviews and 1 2 targeted reviews during the contract term.
Collaborate with enterprise audit groups to uphold standards of audit quality and consistency.
Help maintain a strong internal control environment through continuous improvement of processes.

What you will need to succeed:

University degree in a relevant field.
Professional designation preferred (CPA CIA or equivalent).
5 years of experience conducting and leading audits preferably in the financial services or insurance industry.
Strong knowledge of audit methodologies standards and quality assurance practices.
Previous experience with Canadian banks or insurance firms considered a strong asset.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and support multiple teams.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel; familiarity with audit tools (no specific tool required).
Exceptional attention to detail analytical thinking and organizational skills.
Comfortable working in a hybrid cross-functional and global environment.
Open to long-term opportunities and not opposed to permanent conversion.
