Role at a Glance:
The Director of Mining Operations will oversee all aspects of Paystands Bitcoin mining activities ensuring efficiency cost control and uptime. This role will focus on optimizing mining performance maintaining operational stability and achieving our 2024 targets. They will work closely with the finance and strategy teams to ensure operational growth is aligned with Paystands financial goals.
Responsibilities:
- Mining Efficiency & Performance Maximize uptime optimize ASIC performance and ensure mining operations are running at peak efficiency.
- Cost Control & Budgeting Monitor energy consumption repair costs and site expenses to maintain profitability.
- Equipment & Infrastructure Management Oversee procurement deployment and maintenance of mining hardware.
- Operational Oversight Manage hosting providers ensure compliance with SLAs and troubleshoot downtime issues.
- Financial Reporting & KPIs Track operational costs performance metrics and report insights to leadership.
- Technical Site Visits Conduct technical visits to potential facilities to guarantee optimal conditions for mining operations.
- Business Core Improvements Generate recommendations on Bitcoin business core improvements poll updates and key components that require fast adjustment.
- 5 years of experience in Bitcoin mining operations or infrastructure management.
- Strong technical understanding of mining hardware energy efficiency and site management.
- Proven ability to manage largescale mining operations with a focus on cost reduction and performance.
- Experience negotiating with hosting providers and managing maintenance teams.
- Datadriven mindset with experience tracking mining KPIs and financial performance.
