Job Description

Business Development Specialist

Heres Where You Come In

As the Business Development Specialist you will work alongside our top producers in Employee Benefits and Commercial Sales. You will gain experience through supporting our top Producers through sourcing new qualified business relationships making initial contacts and keeping these leads up to date in our CRM. This person contributes value to our organization through maintaining an organization network to support the organic growth of our Commercial and Benefits practices.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Source potential qualified business leads including within our CRM
  • Communication of the HUB value proposition to network
  • Assess insurance needs with prospected clients to determine how HUB can help
  • Build a continuous pipeline through various active networking efforts
  • Will need to be able to pick up the phone and talk to people at all levels of an organization giving a quick elevator speech to grab attention within 30 seconds
  • Schedule client meetings
  • Assist with meeting preparation and travel coordination for producers

Qualifications:

  • College Degree Preferred
  • 2 years in sales position highly preferred
  • 2 years in customer service
  • Proven experience making prospecting calls and growing a network
  • Fluent in LinkedIn
  • Strong communication and persuasive skills via the phone
  • Determination and grit; able to bounce back quickly and stay driven toward goals
  • Highly organized
