Job Description

AECOM Hunt has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Construction Project Manager for our ongoing project in New Orleans LA.

  • Under moderate supervision assists the Project Management team with management administration on a moderate size and scope project or a portion of a large size and scope project following set guidelines for completion of tasks.
  • Employee receives moderate to limited supervision working from objectives set by supervisor. Employee organizes and carries out most assignments in accordance with standard practices instructions or previous training. Employee handles some unusual situations independently.  
  • May interface with design team.
  • May work closely with BIM team and use modelling software.
  • May interact with Superintendents to address project questions/issues.
  • Assists with and monitors change orders.
  • May assist with regulatory compliance and financial reporting.
  • Review project costs and scheduling to ensure completion of project within budget and in conformance with contract.
  • Work with document control systems project management systems and other software or databases to keep information flow uptodate and accurate.
  • Attend meetings and report on project tasks as needed.
  • May provide technical direction and guidance to subordinate managers enforces company and project policies.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirement:

  • BA/BS Construction Management or relevant curriculum and 2 years of construction experience or AA/AS and 4 years of construction experience or HSD/GED and 6 years of construction experience or demonstrated equivalent of education and experience.

Preferred Requirements:

  • 3 years of construction project experience.
  • Experience working for a general contractor.
  • Experience in construction project management.
  • Proficiency in CMiC Primavera and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word Outlook etc.).
  • Experience monitoring subcontracted labor (scheduling performance etc.).
  • OSHA 30.
  • Experience with construction documentation such as proposals change orders RFI etc.
