Within our entity Lesaffre Kenya you will ensure product quality and support innovation by conducting baking tests monitoring performance handling nonconformities and providing technical support for new product development.
Your missions :
- Running yeast comparative test
- Carrying out baking test from time to time for bread improvers mixes and release agents to ascertain the quality of the final product before release to the market
- Reporting any nonconformance or deviations in analysis and baking test
- Maintaining records and preparing statistical reports to evaluate quality performance and sharing with respective department
- Maintaining high hygiene standards in baking lab
- Suggesting any ideas for continuous improvement in baking lab and process in general
- Dealing with complaint and preparing report to respective department
- Giving technical support to the formulator for NPD
Qualifications :
- Diploma or bachelors degree in food science or in the bakery industry. Laboratory experience and testing ability.
Technical Skills :
- Strong knowledge of confectionery and cake decoration
- Understanding the needs of the market & customer
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Soft Skills :
- Ability to prioritize daily activities to meet client/internal needs within established timelines in a fastpaced environment
- Ability to monitor and report on assigned tasks goals and objectives
- Listening to different perspectives and showing flexibility
