Lead Consultant, DevOps Engineer

Inviting applications for the role of Lead Consultant DevOps Engineer
You will be responsible for enhancing configuring and maintaining the application and its platform. The application has integrations with other systems hence the ability to look beyond your own scope and collaborate closely with other teams in the organization is essential. We are looking for a senior experienced DevOps engineer who is experienced in managing application build in Java and .NET hosted on Linux Windows VMs and Docker containers and doing deployments over Azure DevOps Pipelines. Someone who has the capabailities to work as a DevOps engineer on the various solutions and embraces a mindset on automating toil being able to maintain and enhance the applications based on the needs of lifecycle management and requests for change. Someone who always thinks a step ahead with his approach. You embrace the responsibility for a high available platform which supports an important business process for our banking colleagues. You are comfortable working with Agile and Scrum methodologies.

Responsibilities
Collaboratively work with various stakeholders in the implementation & rollout of chaos engineering practices and methodology.
Drive the integration and extensibility of Group standard tools as it pertains to infrastructure & application resilience assessment.
Provide consulting support to IT teams across the group on DevOps Infrastructure Automation and SRE.
Work closely with the engineering teams for identifying infrastructure automation resiliency & observability and enable corrective decisions for improvements.
Penetration Testing experience
DevOps Engineering (profile who has only done Production Support or Infra management or CICD only will not be a fitment)
Development experience (Java or Python or Node or equivalent)
Sound knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering / Chaos Engineering is a must.
Handson experience in DevOps Unix/Linux Ansible Terraform Cloud (GCP AWS) Infrastructure automation
Have a detailed knowledge of cloud infrastructure provisioning deployment automation orchestration logging and monitoring tools (Appdynamics Splunk Prometheus)
Proven experience using programming languages Python Powershell Bash Shell Script development.
Handson experience in using Continuous Integration pipeline using Jenkins Maven and other CI tools used in DevOps ecosystem

Minimum Qualifications / Skills
BE/ MCA
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
Experience of containerization ideally using Docker / Kubernetes.
Strong understanding and exposure to the Cloud technologies and cloud service provider GCP AWS
Experience with Agile Software development methodologies and associated lifecycle tools JIRA etc.
Drive to improve and enhance existing strategies processes tools and techniques
Has solid understanding of Agile (Scrum) Git
Experienced in managing delivery in a globally spread matrix managed organization (or team) using Agile methodologies.
Ability to work directly with business stakeholders understanding needs and articulating ideas
Interpersonal skills including the ability to articulate the case for investments and alternatives in the language of business
Candidate should have good communication presentation skills & project management skills
