The mandate of Complexes Aqua & Specialized Services is to provide strategic vision and innovative leadership in managing customer centric sports physical activity aquatics and recreation venues programs and services for all ages including the management of facilities and/or land and for the delivery of indoor and outdoor recreation programs and services. This Service provides city wide access to adapted therapeutic and integrated recreation programs giving children youth and adults with special needs the opportunity to participate in community recreation.
Under the guidance of a Recreation Supervisor you are responsible for coordinating delivery of information within the Seasonal Recreation Wading Pool Program. You are the initial contact for all program inquiries from the general public park staff and other city departments. You maintain files/records and incident reports process service requests and assist in the coordination of staff scheduling and compiling program statistics/various reports. You also assist full time staff with the daytoday administrative duties of the wading pool program and may be responsible for staff payroll input. Work is performed in accordance with related legislation policies procedures and guidelines.
Note: minimum age of 16 years is required for this Summer Student job.
PostSecondary Student (completion of first year college or university)
Note: Student must be returning to school in the fall.
2 years or more of related experience is required Minimum 2 years with Parks Wading Pool Program with 1 year as a Park Supervisor or equivalent experience in a client service environment
