Whats the role
The Project Finance (PF) team is responsible for the provision of nonrecourse debt financing solutions for the WIB customer base. Typically opportunities are most commonly evident across the following industry sectors: Infrastructure Power and Natural Resources.
Youll work on high profile Australian based infrastructure projects that support the growth of Australias renewable energy (in line with Westpacs recent Net Zero Banking Alliance commitment).
Reporting to a Director youll contribute to origination and execution of Project Finance transactions by evaluating the credit quality of complex debt transactions across the Power & Renewables Infrastructure & PPP and Natural Resources sectors.
At the heart of the role this position requires significant Corporate/IB credit analysis skills to support Directors.
What do I need
- Robust experience in credit writing structuring negotiating and financial modelling whilst understanding key business drivers.
- Proven success of working collaboratively within a team environment supporting pitches and research projects in partnership with relationship syndications agency and risk teams.
- A passion for driving client advocacy and growth in the teams portfolio underpinned by your ability to share deep thought leadership to the market of topical issues (e.g. providing unique insights into market and industry conditions impacting WIB and its customers in partnership with the Consumer Insights and Analytics team).
- A shared and passionate vision for supporting the pipeline of infrastructure projects to propel our market leading position
- A respected brand known for your professionalism advisory skills and proven business acumen coupled with a commercial mindset.
