The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for an Associate Program Manager Risk Factor Control. This position can be homebased but must live in Hawaii.
This is a full time benefits eligible grant funded opportunity. Current funding will expire on 6/30/2028.

Responsibilities
This Associate Program Manager is responsible for implementing project plan activities and facilitating coordination across internal and external teams for assigned programs with consistent and effective communication with project leadership. Responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with communitybased organizations to support program implementation. Establishes and coordinates project timelines and is responsible for managing the development and distribution of culturallyrelevant patient education resources. Responsible for assigned project tracking and reporting including patient education programming. Responsible for developing and maintaining a knowledge base in hypertension and stroke.
- Builds and strengthens relationships with communitybased organizations to support implementation of blood pressure and stroke programming across Hawaii including selfmeasured blood pressure (SMBP) programs and referrals
- Engages community leaders and groups with lived experience to gain a comprehensive understanding of community needs attitudes knowledge and perceptions within Hawaii
- Develops and maintains quality relationships with all vendors for the project and oversees production and patient education materials; including culturally relevant hypertension and stroke resources for up to 4 unique populations based on community insights with a corresponding public awareness campaign
- Coordinates with internal American Heart Association departments and external vendors on assigned projects; specific collaboration with the Hawaii Community Impact Director to ensure alignment with ongoing hypertension and stroke prevention initiatives
- Monitors reviews and tracks budget timelines and outcomes associated with assigned projects; Collaborates with Evaluation on grant reporting and data collection specific to grant outcomes of blood pressure programming and community engagement efforts
- Maintains effective communication with project leadership and teams to ensure project status and issues are known and addressed
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.
- Two (2) years of the following experience:
- Experience developing and managing projects
- Experience building and maintaining communitybased organization relationships
- Experience developing and disseminating culturallyrelevant linguistically appropriate patient education resources
- Basic communication or marketing planning and budget management experience
- Experience working across functions and levels to achieve project objectives
- Comprehensive skills in Microsoft Office suite
Compensation & Benefits
Expected pay range will be $70000 $80000. Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply. The American Heart Association reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range.
