We are currently looking for a fulltimeClinical Assistant Professor and Academic Fellow at the College of Pharmacy and Health position will provide a multitude of learning opportunities to prepare the fellow for a career in academic pharmacy. The fellowship will include experiences in the areas of teaching scholarship and service to cultivate growth in these areas. A focus on the pedagogy of higher education will allow the fellow to learn effective teaching methods to develop health profession students into dynamic and thoughtful leaders.
Responsibilities of the position include:
  • Design develop and implement educational content in both the large and small group settings
  • Cocoordinate and/or coordinate course(s) within the college of pharmacy and health sciences
  • Document and share educational innovations through publications and presentations
  • Maintain a clinical practice site
  • Precept and/or coprecept health professions students
  • Participate in committee work within the college of pharmacy and health sciences
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements of the position include:
  • Earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from anACPEaccredited college/school of pharmacy
  • Eligible for pharmacist licensure in Kentucky
  • Completion of PGY1 pharmacy residency (or equivalent experience)
  • Completion of a Teaching Certificate/Teaching and Learning Curriculum (preferred)
