Job Description
Position Title: General Manager & Community Engagement Lead
Location: Redondo Beach CA
Brand: Body Fit Training (BFT)
Overview:
BFT Redondo Beach is seeking a dynamic highenergy leader to serve as our General Manager & Community Engagement Lead. This hybrid role blends operational excellence team leadership sales and local marketing activation to drive studio success foster strong member relationships and elevate the BFT brand in the community.
The ideal candidate is passionate about fitness thrives in a fastpaced environment and brings both business acumen and creative energy. Youll be responsible for managing studio operations driving membership growth through sales and working with head coach to develop the coaching team and implementing innovative marketing initiatives to build community buzz.
Key Responsibilities
Studio Operations & Sales Leadership
- Oversee all aspects of daily studio operations and ensure highquality member experience.
- Create and execute monthly sales strategies to exceed membership targets.
- Hire train and manage front desk and coaching staff to deliver exceptional service.
- Monitor studio performance metrics budgets and KPIs to optimize profitability.
- Maintain a welcoming clean and safe studio environment.
Team Development
- Lead weekly team meetings and oneonones to align goals and ensure accountability.
- Coach staff on sales retention and member service best practices.
- Foster a team culture built on positivity professionalism and performance.
Community Engagement & Local Marketing
- Build B2B partnerships with local businesses health professionals and apartment communities to drive sales member experience and ongoing lead generation.
- Plan and host events for current and prospective members such as open houses themed workouts and member appreciation events.
- Organize grassroots outreach campaigns including popup workouts and corporate wellness partnerships.
- Represent BFT at local events and expos to promote the brand and gather leads.
Member Experience & Retention
- Plan and execute weekly instudio events to celebrate milestones and create memorable member experiences.
- Launch Member of the Month campaigns InBody challenges and retentionbased incentives.
- Collect and act on member feedback to improve satisfaction and loyalty.
Social Media & Content
- Manage local studio social media presence working with Social Media Manager to strategize on content content planning daily stories and engaging posts.
- Collaborate with coaches for movement demos Q&A sessions and member highlights.
- Run contests and referral incentives to grow community engagement online and offline.
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in studio management fitness sales or community marketing (preferably boutique fitness).
- Proven success meeting sales goals and driving member growth.
- Strong leadership and team development skills.
- Excellent communication planning and organizational abilities.
- Social media savvy with knowledge of Instagram TikTok and content trends.LM1
- Passion for fitness health and inspiring others to transform their lives.
- Bachelors degree in Business Marketing or related field preferred.
