Why This Role Is Important To Effortless Admin
The Human Resources Generalist will play a crucial role in supporting our growing team by delivering comprehensive HR services across our organization. This position will touch all aspects of the employee lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding to performance management and employee relations. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive solutionoriented approach to human resources helping us maintain our positive workplace culture while supporting our business objectives and company growth.
This is a fulltime permanent position with a competitive compensation and benefits package.
This position is inperson onsite in Edmonton AB.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations & Development
- Coach supervisors on addressing employee issues including performance management coaching and progressive discipline
- Develop and implement programs to foster and maintain a positive work environment
- Direct employee relations committee meetings and occupational health and safety meetings
- Provide training to committee members on relevant topics
- Develop and deliver training programs for supervisors and employees on various HRrelated subjects
Compensation & Administration
- Process semimonthly payroll and resolve payrelated issues
- Complete various reporting tools such as turnover reports and compensation surveys
- Write implement and annually review the Employee Handbook
- Maintain accurate and compliant employee files
- Update information across various HR systems and databases
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Advise on proper hiring practices and lead recruitment efforts for positions across the company
- Administer corporate prescreening program and perform thorough reference checks
- Schedule and participate in interviews with candidates
- Prepare comprehensive offer packages for successful candidates
Event Planning & Logistics
- Organize semiannual employee conferences and other companywide events
- Book travel arrangements and training for employees
- Arrange detailed travel itineraries as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field
- 3 years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist role
- CPHR designation or working toward completion is preferred
- Experience with fullcycle recruitment and employee relations
- Thorough knowledge of Alberta employment standards and relevant legislation
- Strong understanding of payroll processing and administration
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Experience with HRIS and payroll systems
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Problemsolving mindset with an eye for process improvement
