Federal Work Study Herbarium Technician (Plant Mounting)
The University of Florida Herbarium (in the Florida Museum of Natural History) has a Federal Work Study position available to work on mounting of plant specimens. Duties will include handling of dried specimens staging of specimens on archival paper gluing specimens and labels and use of linen strips to secure plant specimens for longterm preservation and study. Tasks require meticulous care of fragile plant specimens and attention to detail.
The hours are flexiblebetween 8am5pm MonFri excluding holidays but a regular schedule of 612 hours per week is desirable.
$13.50/hour
