Federal Work Study STU AST ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Job Description:

The Veterinary Forensic Sciences Laboratory (VFSL) within the College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking a motivated and detailoriented Federal Work Study Student Assistant to support a range of administrative and laboratory tasks. This parttime role offers students an opportunity to gain valuable experience in a dynamic clinical and research environment. The ideal candidate will exhibit professionalism maintain confidentiality with sensitive information and demonstrate the ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment. Some key responsibilities and characteristics of this position are: Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies. Assist with weekly laboratory audits. Schedule and set up meetings including preparing materials. Type and edit documents and spreadsheets with attention to detail and accuracy. Assist with daily operations and administrative tasks such as photocopying filing taking meeting minutes tracking supplies and sending email announcements. Help coordinate the VFSL events and activities. Perform other related duties and special assignments as required. 10 hours weekly.

Expected Salary:

$14.00

Minimum Requirements:

Must be a current UF student. Must be eligible for Summer semester Federal Work Study. Work inperson during office hours Monday Friday 8 am 5 pm excluding UF holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Detailoriented with strong organizational skills. Independent creative thinker who can collaborate effectively in a team environment. Courteous reliable and punctual. Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint etc.). Graphic design skills including creating publications social media graphics and infographics. Experience with Photoshop and other Adobe Creative Suite design software.
