Position Duties/Responsibilities

The Director of Accessibility Services provides leadership vision and oversight for the Office of Accessibility Services. The selected candidate ensures the university remains compliance with local state and federal regulations applicable to students with disabilities and others who require reasonable accommodations necessary for them to have a fair educational experience. Furthermore the professional is responsible for facilitating active and passive educational programming for the campus community to expand the knowledge and understanding of accessibility compliance. The Office of Accessibility Services is a unit of the Health and Wellness umbrella within the Division of Student Affairs. The department under the leadership of the director will coordinate and collaborate with other student affairs units to increase efficiency and reach. McNeese State University located in Lake Charles Louisiana is a public university and a member of the University of Louisiana System. The prospective faculty member is responsible for the cost of the evaluation. McNeese typically accepts evaluations by World Education Services () or Educational Credential Evaluators Inc..
