Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership
- Oversee end-to-end Accounts Payable (A/P) processing for multiple countries in APAC EMEA US and LATAM.
- Lead Accounts Receivable (A/R) Cash Application processes across all supported regions.
- Manage Global Vendor Master Data Management ensuring consistency accuracy and compliance with global standards.
- Lead Customer Master Data Management specifically for the APAC region.
Strategic Development
- Collaborate with global business and finance leaders to define and expand the strategic vision and operations of the Shared Services Center.
- Drive process standardization automation and continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and service levels.
- Partner with stakeholders to assess and implement the expansion of services within the SSC scope including potential new functional areas or geographies.
People Leadership
- Lead and inspire a team of approximately 70 - 85 professionals including 5 direct reports.
- Foster a high-performance culture that emphasizes collaboration accountability development and innovation.
- Provide coaching mentoring and career development opportunities for SSC staff.
Local Office Leadership & Legal Entity Governance
- Provide day-to-day leadership for the Malaysia office ensuring a safe inclusive and productive working environment.
- Serve as a fiduciary director for the Malaysian legal entity upholding corporate governance legal tax and regulatory compliance.
- Represent the company in interactions with local authorities auditors and external stakeholders as required.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure operations comply with internal controls SOX requirements and global financial policies.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) ensuring timely and accurate service delivery.
- Establish and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across regional and global finance and non-finance teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Business Administration or related field; MBA or professional certification (e.g. CPA ACCA) preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in finance operations or shared services leadership preferably within a multinational environment.
- Proven experience managing multi-regional finance operations including A/P A/R and MDM.
- Strong people leadership experience including leading large teams and senior direct reports.
- Demonstrated success in strategic planning change management and operational transformation.
- Sound ethical mindset strong communication stakeholder management and decision-making skills.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g. Oracle Webcenter) and familiarity with automation tools and digital transformation in finance operations preferred.
- Experience in local office management and understanding of fiduciary responsibilities under Malaysian corporate law preferred.
- Fluent in English and Malay preferred fluency in Chinese.
