A Day in the Life of a Regional FP&A Operations Controller:
Drive financial health and compliance by partnering with Sales AR/Collections teams and field operations to manage past due balances minimize bad debt writeoffs improve DSO and enforce adherence to internal controls across A/P A/R billing collections fixed assets and GL processes.
Oversee and support financial reporting across the region leading monthly close activities GL reconciliations audit reporting and inventory management while ensuring the accuracy consistency and timeliness of financial and statistical results.
Lead budgeting and forecasting processes ensuring deadlines are met reviews are thorough and financial plans are complete and aligned with business goals; communicate objectives clearly across operational teams.
Analyze and report on financial performance providing variance analysis and insights to drive strategic decisions and operational improvements across individual business units and the broader region.
Support franchise compliance through regular agreement reviews monthly reconciliations of accrued vs. paid amounts and preparation of external audit workpapers to ensure process adherence.
Coach and collaborate with operational leaders mentoring general managers and support staff to strengthen financial acumen connect operational decisions to financial outcomes and ensure ongoing compliance with financial processes and controls.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Bachelors degree in accounting Finance or Business from a fouryear accredited institution with 10 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
Strong leadership background with a proven ability to develop teams and drive results in dynamic highgrowth environments.
Advanced analytical and problemsolving skills with a consistent track record of delivering accurate insights and effective solutions.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly convey financial concepts to nonfinancial stakeholders and influence crossfunctional teams.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office particularly Excel; industry experience in waste management is a plus but not required.
