Centroid Systems is seeking an experiencedVMWare Administratorto join our team. This role is critical in supporting and optimizing our virtualization infrastructure ensuring smooth operations and integration within diverse IT environments.
The ideal candidate will have handson experience in VMWare administration Windows and Linux systems management and expertise with tools like vMotion. While experience with VMWare on Azure is preferred it is not required.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain VMWare infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
- Utilize vMotion to optimize and migrate workloads across servers seamlessly even across cloud providers.
- Perform administration troubleshooting and maintenance of both Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to design and implement virtualization solutions.
- Provide ongoing technical support including performance tuning and capacity planning.
- Monitor and respond to issues ensuring minimal downtime and efficient resource utilization.
- Maintain documentation and contribute to the development of operational procedures and best practices.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experiencein VMWare administration with demonstrated expertise in managing enterpriseclass environments.
- Familiarity with VMWare deployments in Azure is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong background inWindowsandLinux administration including troubleshooting and configuration.
- Proficiency withvMotionfor workload migration and optimization.
- Strong problemsolving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders.
- A Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field is preferred but not required.
