Job Description

Multi Skilled Operative Planned Works

Based in Norwich but travel throughout Norfolk and North Suffolk will be required

Full time (40 hours per week) Monday to Friday

Starting Salary of 31712 with progression opportunities to 35171 per annum depending on skills and experience

Plus Company Vehicle and additional earning opportunities through call out

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Multi Skilled Operative with a main trade of Carpentry/Plumbing to join our Planned Works Team.

This role will work to help deliver an effective and efficient repairs service to our residents working on occupied and empty homes in order to deliver our planned works programme including Kitchen and Bathroom upgrades and Aids and Adaptations. You will ensure that repairs are carried out in a timely manner and to ensure a high standard of work to our properties.

This plays a key role in being responsible in providing an excellent service to our residents so if you want to help make a difference to our residents this may be the job for you!

The main focus of the roles will be:

  • To be responsible for effective and efficient repairs/works to our homes carrying out works to a high standard in Empty Homes and occupied properties.
  • To support when required with the responsive repairs and maintenance works within empty and occupied properties.
  • To complete allocated work within carpentry/plumbing trade/skill set as well as any additional trade/skills such as tiling painting / decorating and plastering/patch plastering etc.
  • To help us provide an excellent service to our residents minimising call backs and maximising first time fixes.

About You

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Minimum of either full trade Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry.
  • Skilled in other trades such as tiling plumbing plastering/patch plastering painting and decorating etc.
  • A full UK driving licence as travel throughout Norfolk and North Suffolk will be required.
  • Experience of working in Property Maintenance.
  • Good IT literacy and communication skills.
  • A positive cando attitude and the ability to work independently and problem solve.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake a basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and will join our oncall rota.
