Job Description

Manages client relationships and responsible for market development prospecting account management and credit underwriting primarily to larger corporations financial sponsors and their portfolio companies. Collaborates with the team to develop market and underwrite comprehensive financial solutions for customers involving all CoBank products. Manages directly and indirectly the overall profitability and credit quality of a large and complex loan portfolio. Approves or recommends credit decisions as appropriate. Implements marketing and account servicing plans. Provides valueadded advisory and credit structuring consultation to customers junior relationship managers and credit underwriting. Maintains effective relationships with governmental industry and financial groups to enhance financial performance and business effectiveness. Supports CoBanks engagement of and collaboration with the Farm Credit System.

Essential Functions

1. Independently manages the daytoday customer relationship of complex highly visible accounts. Meets regularly with customers and gathers information on their businesses needs strategic direction and earnings to determine business opportunities.
2. Calls on and pitches potential new and existing clients (including financial sponsors) various financing proposals and negotiates and documents terms and conditions. These transactions vary widely from large corporate loans to financial sponsors M&A deals to loantocost / quasi project finance structures.
3. Works with the Capital Markets team in structuring and leading large corporate and complex underwritten transactions (including bridge loan facilities). Helps with the successful syndication of CoBank and Farm Credit System transactions and larger more broadly syndicated deals.
4. Crossmarkets CoBanks products and services to meet goals for assigned accounts. Develops and implements plans to capitalize on marketing opportunities.
5. Guides the development and analysis of financial data for new or renewed financing arrangements.
6. Manages to profitability and credit quality targets for portfolio.
7. Guides credit analysis area in the development and analysis of financial background data for new or renewed loans.
8. Proactively monitors their respective loan portfolio and recommends actions to protect CoBank interests and minimize potential loan losses.
9. Maintains expertise in the Corporates and Financial Sponsors market/industry segment and keeps abreast of industry trends technology regulatory requirements and the competitive environment. Studies industrial commercial and financial situations relating to new or existing businesses as requested. Makes recommendations on financial and organization structure locations and other businessrelated issues. Provides additional guidance or advice to customers as appropriate.
10. Reviews approval or approves extension of credit to certain accounts requiring higherlevel delegated authority.
11. Assists less experienced staff in their relationships with customers. Provides leadership and guidance in account management and marketing techniques.
12. Develops strong working relationships across the firm to help drive a strong culture of collaboration/teamwork and best practices.
13. Attends industry focused conferences throughout the year to meet with clients and prospects network with other lenders and stays current on market and industry trends.

Education

  • Bachelors Degree Business Finance or relevant discipline required
  • Masters Degree Business Finance or relevant discipline preferred

Work Experience

5 years of relevant experience including pitching structuring and negotiating complex / leveraged direct and syndicated transactions. Strong relationship management skills with a deep understanding of credit and the overall capital markets. required
Prior Experience Deep understanding of the Digital Infrastructure industry with some meaningful existing relationships. preferred
Ability to work collaboratively build and maintain effective relationships with key executives internal team members and external stakeholders partners and customers.
Knowledge of applicable Digital Infrastructure industry segments served by this team.
Solid understanding of credit structuring loan syndications and general corporate finance skills.
Ability to manage a high workload of complex bank loan financings and effectively prioritize responsibilities.

The typical base pay range for this role is between $144300 $170000. Compensation may vary based on individual jobrelated knowledge skills expertise and experience. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.
