Thomas College seeks a dynamic and studentcentered Assistant Director of Admissions to join our Admissions team. This fulltime 12month position reports to the Director of Admissions and plays a pivotal role in recruiting prospective students mentoring Admissions Counselors and leading key initiatives and events.


In this role you will:

  • Guide prospective students through the admissions funnel
  • Represent Thomas College at recruitment events fairs and high schools throughout New England
  • Organize and participate in group visits and highprofile events such as Thomas Cup and JMG
  • Provide specialized training and daily support to Admissions Counselors
  • Plan and manage Fall and Spring travel schedules
  • Collaborate with departments across campus including Student Financial Services Marketing and Athletics
  • Maintain professional studentfirst conduct and appearance at all times

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree required
  • Prior admissions experience and a strong understanding of the admissions process
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and training ability
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office CRM systems (especially Slate) and social media messaging tools
  • Ability to travel extensively lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
