Job Description
Job Purpose
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our manufacturing operations team at ABI Rishra. The ideal candidate will have 7 to 10 years of accounting experience particularly in a manufacturing organization. This position requires a deep understanding of cost accounting inventory management financial reporting and budgeting within the context of manufacturing. This position will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial records managing monthend and yearend processes and supporting operational decisions through financial analysis.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and analyze monthly quarterly and annual financial statements (income statement balance sheet cash flow etc.) in compliance with company policies and accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS).
- Review and maintain the accuracy of general ledger accounts ensuring that all transactions are recorded properly.
- Prepare reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts including inventories fixed assets and accruals.
Cost Accounting & Inventory Management:
- Perform detailed cost analysis of manufacturing operations including material labor and overhead costs.
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of standard costs and variances to ensure product cost accuracy.
- Oversee and manage inventory counts ensuring accuracy between physical inventory and financial records.
- Assist in the preparation of reports that track inventory levels inventory turnover and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Develop and manage departmental budgets providing variance analysis between actual results and budgeted figures.
- Support financial forecasting processes identifying trends and potential areas for cost savings or improvements.
Internal Controls & Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures and recommend improvements to internal controls to mitigate risk.
- Maintain and monitor the accuracy of financial records ensuring compliance with all regulatory and tax requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and work closely with internal and external auditors during audit processes
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff providing guidance and training as needed.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams such as production procurement and sales to understand financial impacts of operational changes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
- 710 years of relevant experience in accounting.
- Indepth knowledge of cost accounting inventory control and financial reporting.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g. SAP Oracle) and Excel.
- Proven ability to analyze financial data and generate insights for operational decisionmaking.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with ERP systems and automation in financial reporting and analysis.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
