Role/Department

The Client Executive role will have overall responsibility for managing a portfolio of franchise clients in the Nordic region that receive a broad range of services from Northern Trust. The successful candidate will act as the Senior Relationship Manager ensuring the smooth delivery of our services and development of client relationships and revenues.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

Relationship Management

  • Ownership of client growth profitability loyalty satisfaction

  • Establish ties with key decisionmakers

  • Develop understanding of clients strategic goals and identify ways in which Northern Trust can financially optimise both new and existing relationships

  • Drive initiatives for client driven product development requirements; working closely with the various product teams

  • Responsible for overall client satisfaction levels at a strategic level and ensure relevant key performance indicators are in place to meet client goals

  • Establish and maintain relationship plans.

Sales and Profitability Management

  • Develop maintain and execute client coverage plans ensuring effective engagement with all key stakeholders within client organisations

  • Maintain comprehensive understanding of key industry trends in order to facilitate strategic engagement with clients developing a consultative and collaborative approach in helping them to navigate change in the investment and regulatory landscape

  • Ensure longterm profitability of client relationship

  • Crossselling of additional products

  • Pricing of new and additional business opportunities

Risk Management

  • Identify document and manage client related risk issues

  • Effective negotiation of contracts

  • Manage service delivery with awareness of internal and external compliance requirement

  • Awareness of Product/Counterparty credit/Client credit risk

  • Ensure adherence and understanding of Northern Trust KYC/AML procedures

Client Service Management

  • Overall responsibility for service delivery. This is achieved by working closely with our client service and operational teams

  • Project oversight

Skills/Qualifications

The successful candidate will benefit from having:

  • Experience in major financial services business

  • Several years in a custodian bank an asset management firm the securities market or a similar organization within the industry.

  • Ability to establish commercial relationships with Executive level Client Stakeholders

  • Experience of strategic lead for business development

  • Experience of increasing revenue through effective client relationships

  • Thorough knowledge of asset servicing products investments and business segment specific issues

  • Leadership and organizational skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Proven ability to influence internally and externally at the highest level

  • Good networking contacts and abilities

  • Fluent English and a minimum of one Scandinavian language
