Job Title: QA Test Engineer
Location: Lisbon Portugal
Work Regime: Fulltime & Hybrid
- 1 time per week for the 1st month;
- 12 days a month after the 1st month.
Overview / Summary:
We are looking for a QA Test Engineer to join our team!
Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive quality assurance program to ensure our products and services meet internal standards and customer expectations;
- Define and enforce quality standards in collaboration with engineering product and design teams;
- Own the development and maintenance of test plans automated test suites and performance benchmarks across our platforms;
- Establish and monitor quality metrics proactively identifying areas for improvement;
- Drive continuous improvement in testing processes by leveraging automation and integrating best practices in agile software development;
- Collaborate with infrastructure and DevOps teams to enhance test environments and support scalable testing pipelines;
- Provide guidance on bug tracking test documentation and defect resolution processes;
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to product quality and safety.
Requirements
Mandatory Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in software quality assurance ideally working on both backend and frontend systems;
- A strong track record in delivering highquality web and backend applications especially consumerfacing products;
- Solid understanding of QA methodologies test case development defect tracking and test planning;
- Handson experience with automated UI testing tools and frameworks;
- Comfortable collaborating on API testing performance/load testing and supporting scalable quality pipelines;
- Experience with Git Agile development practices and CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions);
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (e.g. Datadog) to support test coverage and incident analysis;
- Prior experience improving test environments in collaboration with infrastructure engineers;
- Strong analytical problemsolving and communication skills with a pragmatic and autonomous approach to work.
Complementary Requirements:
- Familiarity with test tools such as Playwright Cypress or Selenium;
- Programming experience in any of the languages: Java Kotlin TypeScript Go etc.;
- Experience working in regulated environments or with compliance standards (e.g. ISO GDPR etc.);
- Contributions to QA best practices tooling or community resources.
