Whats the role
In this senior role you will be leading and driving new business origination activities for the CIB Originations team across all industries from identification of new to bank customers preparation of earlystage pitch documents through to all related submissions for deal execution and onboarding.
This role will also include coordinating with key internal and external stakeholders in the sector including collaborating with other originators in the team as well as CIB industry and product teams ontarget customers.
What do I need
- A voracious appetite and strong background in driving new to bank business activities across a range of industries (Consumer & Industrial Property Public Sector Health and Financial Institutions) leveraging the breadth of the full banking products suite (e.g. Loans Financial Markets Asset Finance Trade Finance Sustainable Finance etc). This will be evidenced by strong transaction / deal background across the corporate and institutional segments of the market.
- A fundamental understanding of credit and risk & knowledge of cashflow / structured lendingincluding cash flow modelling and effective critical thinking and analytical skills combined with proven external networks across the market (inclusive advisors) and strong negotiating interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Proven success of working collaboratively within a global team environment coordinating with other industry sector coverage teams Analysts Risk key product partners and stakeholders such as Legal together with other banks in a club or bilateral setting.
- A passion for driving client advocacy and growth in CIBs loan book and thought leadership to the market of topical issues(e.g. ESG pricing M&A and current market challenges)
- Solid presentation skills and ability to lead discussions with internal stakeholders as well as Csuite clients and the general market (advisors lawyers and investment banks).
