Voice and Participation Service Empowering Voices
Are you passionate about driving positive change in the lives of children young people and families Join the Voice and Participation Service at Wiltshire Council as a Sessional Voice Ambassador.
As a Sessional Voice Ambassador your firsthand experiences will be harnessed to provide feedback support improvements train our workforce and offer assistance to those in need. You will engage in discussions attend panels and collaborate with senior managers to amplify the voices of those youve walked in the shoes of.
This is a unique role which allows you to use your first hand lived experience of being supported by Wiltshire Council to provide feedback about how things can be improved train Wiltshire Councils workforce recruit excellent staff members and foster carers and give support to others who need help.
Our ideal candidate will have good communication skills to be able to communicate effectively and respectfully with other people with lived experience and Wiltshire Council employees of all levels of seniority. You will also be able to reflect on your past and have the confidence to appropriatelyshare parts of your story. You will be selfaware and able to know when to take a step back from an activity or scenario that may be upsetting for you and you will be able to seek support in this situation.
We are developing our Young Carers and Youth Justice Voice and Participation work and would particularly welcome people with lived experience in these areas. We will also consider applications from Wiltshire Care Leavers parents that have had children supported on a social care plan and those who have had a Social Worker because of a special educational need or disability (SEND).
